T’was a wonderful family escapade! Breathing fresh air and romance with mother nature. I can’t imagine there is still a quite, peaceful, and amazingly clean place like Marinduque!
On top of that, our hosts Lola Ver (fondly called by my eldest grandson, Hendrix as Lola Now Na) was very accommodating and Lolo Cesar was a very effective tour guide and was at the same time very patient with my kids and grandsons/grandaughter. Add to that the ever delicious food we had every eating time courtesy of Lola Ver. I think I gained six kilos during our 6-day stay.
Splendidly, Lolo Cesar had toured us in islets of this fantastic place through a banca and took a swim with different kinds of fish in Natangco beach which had a crystal-clear water. My kids learned a lot from Lolo Cesar because he was not only assisting us but explained us also how and what’s the story behind all those beautiful places we were dropping by. Lolo made our escapade an extraordinary and a momentous experience!
Then Lolo Cesar brought us to their rest house built at the mountain top of Balanacan overlooking the fabulous and magnificent view of the calm sea and perhaps the whole of Balanacan. It was like dancing once again and feeling the gift of a tranquil nature. Of course, a superb and bountiful lunch (inihaw na sariwang isda and bagong pitas na talong) was served with a bunch of freshly harvested buco.
Our next itinerary was the Paadjao falls which made me and my family like “what the…” At a faraway barangay and in the middle of nowhere (at least it seems to me) there lies this superb and awesome falls with an ice-cold water flowing freely from the heart of the breathtaking mountain. And the rocks, small and big, which was seemingly designed especially for the swimmers and visitors also made an amazement to me which made me thank HIM for the nth time during the visit.
The Ulong beach was equally beautiful and inviting for my kids and grandsons/daughter which made them stunned. This was one of the greatest beach visit for us with its serene hush.of waves rushing to the shore inviting us to take a dip and enjoy once again the nature.
The Mogpog, Marinduque visit was worth a visit. My children and my grandkids kept saying “this is a place where we wanna come back….always”.
For all of that, my whole family wanna extend our deepest and heartfelt gratitude to Lolo Cesar & Lola Ver for the very great and memorable week-long accommodation in Mogpog, Marinduque. To the Morions who readily and willingly agreed to posed with us for picture taking sessions. Also to Manang Loreta who helped us prepare foods and cleared mess we had make during the stay.
A sincere thanks is also extended to Mr. Eric who had us use his magnificent and amazing beach resort house fronting Ulong beach. Spouses Mr. Roland & Ms. Joan who also had us their stunning and spectacular rest house that overlooks the whole of Balanacan and striking view on beaches that in no doubt took our breath away.
